So here is how this game works! I use those colored Garage Sale dots (which I conveniently also use to label the reading levels of my books)
Depending on your class size, choose 4-5 colors, and use 4-5 dots of each color. Does that make sense? In the end you will have 4-5 kids with the same color dot on their head, like this:
I explain the game, and then have all my kids close their eyes as I stick a dot on their forehead. There will be lots of giggling and general peeking.
When everyone has their dot, the objective is that they have to find their Dot Group WITHOUT TALKING. It’s super funny to see the nonverbal cues that come out here! Once a group is complete they have to come find me.
Then we discuss this game as group, talk about what our strategies, what was difficult, what worked, what didn’t, etc….
